What We Offer
We offer a range of services to meet the needs of every patient.
-
This ultrasound screens the carotid arteries in the neck for atherosclerosis (fatty plaque buildup), a major risk factor for stroke.
-
This ultrasound screens the abdominal aorta for an enlargement or aneurysm (AAA). Detecting this early is vital, as a ruptured aortic artery is a life-threatening medical emergency.
-
To screen for Atrial Fibrillation (AFib), an EKG is performed via sensors placed on the limbs. With our 12-lead EKG you receive true hospital-grade diagnostic testing at a fraction of standard outpatient imaging costs.
AFib is associated with an increased risk of blood clots, stroke, heart failure, and related cardiac complications.
This screening tool does not identify all cardiovascular risk factors and cannot detect conditions such as coronary artery disease.
-
An Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) test measures blood pressure in the arms and legs to screen for PAD. Detecting PAD is vital, as the American Heart Association notes it is a major risk factor for coronary artery disease, heart attack, and stroke.
-
A screening echocardiogram (echo) is a non-invasive ultrasound that uses sound waves to create real-time images of the heart's structure and movement. This screening accesses left ventricular systolic function (also known as ejection fraction), helping to detect disease before symptoms worsen. Normally, the lower left chamber squeezes greater than 50% of the blood to the body with each beat.
This structural screening does not evaluate the heart's electrical system and cannot detect arrhythmias or coronary artery disease.
-
All of our ultrasound screening services can be upgraded to a full, complete, hospital-grade ultrasound with results read by a board certified cardiologist.
This option is perfect for patients with no health insurance, for patients who have abnormal screening results and require a full exam and for patients who want to avoid appointment wait times with another specialist or hospital.
